Get-together for Membrane Learning Societies

The European and Russian learning societies for membranes got together on May 21th, 2014, at the initiative of EMH. EMH, the European Membrane Society, the Belgium Membrane Group, NMG from the Netherlands, the Czech Membrane Platform, the French Club for Membranes (CFM), to name but a few, spent an afternoon together. The aim of the meeting was to join forces and develop structuring activities

Sharing ideas and information, and seeing how joint events may be organized and activities mutualized and integrated was on the agenda of this first meeting.

Close relations between France & Russia, and Europe & Russia:

2009-2011: EMH coordinated Membridge, a European project. Membridge was a bridge between Europe & Russia via membrane technologies. The objectives of Membridge were to increase contacts between European & Russian/ NIS* researchers in public research laboratories & industry; set up a long-term strategy with a structured programme to develop joint projects in research & education. June 2014: A French-Russian roundtable took place at the Kuban State University, Krasnodar, on June 18, 2014. The topic of the roundtable was "On fundamental research in the framework of international associated laboratories and international research networks: record, stakes, foresight".

The event was held within the framework of the EU-Russia Year of Science.
